This is the first step for many on their way to certification. For those interested in pursuing a career in central service and sterile processing, but who do not yet hold any certification.
- Central Service Leadership Course
For those who are already CRCST, this course is designed for individuals looking to take on a leadership position in the central service field.
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Self-Study Lessons
These self-study lessons should be purchased by those already certified as a Central Service Technician, and who need CEUs to maintain their certification.
- Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) Self-Study Lessons
These self-study lessons should be purchased by those already certified as a Central Instrument Specialist, and who need CEUs to maintain their certification.

NOTE: Purdue University is unable to assist students in obtaining IAHCSMM's certification requirement of 400 hours of hands on training. The student will be responsible for setting up and obtaining that training on their own. If you have further questions or concerns, please visit the IAHCSMM's website at www.iahcsmm.org to locate a Chapter in your area. The Chapter may be able to assist you with this requirement.
